About the Job
Summary: The Executive Director has full authority for efficiently and effectively leading the daily operations of Trucare Pregnancy Resource Center. This includes but is not limited to: implementing client programs; meeting approved revenue goals and spending budgets; fostering a spirit of teamwork, care and compassion throughout the Trucare staff and volunteers; and adhering to policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors. A major role of the Executive Director is to be the Trucare spokesperson in the community, with a focus on interacting with current and perspective donors.

Reports to: Board of Directors (BOD)

Supervises: All staff members and volunteers

Typical Hours per Week: Part time salaried position (10-20 hours per week)
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to life – in all phases of life from conception until natural death.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Vision, Mission and policies of Trucare.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Be self-motivated, dependable, responsible and organized. Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
  • Have at least a bachelor's degree or related experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have experience in supervising paid staff and volunteers.
  • Have experience in marketing, fund-raising, budgeting, and public relations/development, preferably in a non-profit or ministry setting.
  • Have proven skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide managerial support, direction, and supervision of the Client Services Director (CSD) and other staff/volunteers.
  • Do yearly evaluations for paid and volunteer personnel.
  • Prepare an annual budget for BOD for approval at the December Board meeting of each year.
  • Work with the Center’s accountant to ensure that accurate and current financial records are kept and reported to the BOD monthly.
  • Oversee expenditures for budgeted expenses of the center and oversee purchase requests.
  • Oversee the compilation of statistical reports, accurate record keeping, and reporting to the BOD monthly.
  • Coordinate and implement special events.
  • Ensure that all policies are carried out, as well as coordinating with Client Services Director (CSD) on new policies to be approved and implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and filing deadlines.
  • Attend all BOD meetings and present a monthly report.
  • Maintain Policy and Procedure manual for Trucare operations.
  • Create and implement a successful donor management program.
  • Develop, with the Board of Directors, a strategic plan by the October BOD meeting, and be responsible for implementing.
  • Develop an annual plan of work for Board approval at the November board meeting each year.
  • Ensure website and social media are updated timely with current information.
  • Develop, oversee and revise Trucare marketing materials (brochures, client cards, video’s) to ensure consistent, accurate and effective messaging.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality in all matters concerning Trucare and its activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the BOD from time to time.

The Executive Director will be evaluated on a yearly basis by the Board of Directors, in both written and oral form.
